At Pony Heart Sanctuary, we provide gentle, guided pony and nature encounters for kids, families, adults, and those seeking healing or connection. We believe in promoting compassion and care for all equines while supporting nature education through hands-on experiences.

Pony Encounters
Hands-on Pony Experiences
Gentle, thoughtfully guided pony interactions designed to build confidence, empathy, and wonder through safe, meaningful time with ponies. Private, one-on-one, and small-group sessions are offered with our carefully selected, well-trained Welsh ponies, allowing participants to slow down and engage fully. Through basic horsemanship and groundwork activities, participants gain hands-on experience as they learn to communicate with, care for, and guide “their” pony through a series of thoughtful challenges that develop awareness, trust, and confidence.
Create with Ponies
Creative Experiences with Ponies
Guided art and creative moments set among our Welsh ponies and mountain views. These small-group experiences are calm, intentional, and unhurried - inviting creativity, presence, and connection in a peaceful farm setting. Participants are provided with quality tools to create their vision, and no prior experience is necessary. Enjoy a grounding, relaxing experience while creating an inspired piece to take home. Light refreshments are provided at the beginning of the session.
Photography Experiences
Golden Hour Photography
Private, appointment only photography experiences with expansive views of Mt. Pisgah and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Sessions are available exclusively during Golden Hour, when light moves slowly across open pasture, tree lines, and distant ridges.
Additionally, select experiences incorporate the quiet presence of a pony in a thoughtfully chosen natural settings, offering varied backdrops for capturing authentic interaction and expression.
Each visit is limited to one 90-minute session per evening, providing quiet, uninterrupted access to a curated area of the property in a calm, natural setting.

Deepen your Pony Experience
Pony Heart Circle Membership offers recurring access to priority booking, seasonal custom photos, pony updates, and ongoing opportunities for quiet observation and connection over time. Pony Heart Circle members enjoy exclusive access and engagement experiences with the ponies each month and provide support to our retired pony matrons. We welcome you to join us and help carry our pony-centric vision throughout the year.
Special Events
Community Involvement
Special events bring people together for curated pony and nature centered gatherings such seasonal celebrations and educational group sessions. Groups are intentionally kept small and availability is limited to ensure a calm, respectful environment for both people and ponies.
